Carbon Capture
For 5 years I led the leading and largest European CCS project, taking the proposition from pre-feasibility to signing off the Information Memorandum for £1Bn IPO, supported by European grant funding, the European Investment Bank and a UK banking syndicate.
For 7 years I also led a technology joint venture to deliver a new carbon capture process for energy generation. The business secured £5Mn in grant funding, but in absence of legislation for market pull; followed by the UK Government withdrawing large scale CCS demonstration funding, the technology's evolution stalled in delivery of the demonstration facility.
Mental Health and Wellbeing
Developed REP Group Limited, a mental wellbeing focused company that provides an app based platform for individuals to proactively engage in understanding and treating their mental health.
Environment
With regard to other environmental endeavours, I have supported innovations in the following ways:
- aided the development of pre-cursor anode material production (batteries)
- aided funding of metals recovery using deep eutectic solvents (WEEE)
- aided design integration of self reducing briquettes with CCS for (iron)
Energy Efficiency
With regard to energy efficiency, I helped redesign and submit a new patent application for an energy efficient industrial burner (industrial and heat combustion systems). The burner has the potential for applications from domestic, to industrial, to large scale utility, elevating net cycle efficiencies from 30%/40% up to 65%/70% application dependent.
Artificial Intelligence
Architect and lead developer for an AI solution that can enable accurate mental health and well-being profiling of communities and individuals. The application potential of the solution seamlessly embraces communities, organisations and healthcare, to offer the individuals struggling a support tool that can help them get the support they need.
Immersive Film
Architect and lead developer for a new approach to film capture, production and distribution that can enable a truly unique user experience. It really is 'mental as anything'. Watch this space.
